barr switchers by JDAWG9806 barr switchers by JDAWG9806
CSX's large Barr yard have several switchers based here including the modified SD40-2 and genset that never leave the yard. The Genset was doing hump work (pretty sure the GP15-1 was doing all the work), and the SD40-2 was simply putting a train together, but doing so in notch 8.

Too Bad switchers dont leave the yard and Pull Trains very much
like Atomic train and Back to the future part 3 did.

that's an sd40. If you look at the trucks, the SD40 has two holes in between the wheels, while the 40-2 has 3.

Yes it was built as a SD40, a Mopac actually. I don't when CSX had it rebuilt into a SD40-2 though.

Isn't the only difference between the two the trucks and one is turbocharged the other is not.
