It says CB&Q but to me I think it's a old Northern Pacific car, since if you squint you can not only see Northern on it, but also its old coat of green.

It's possible it was an NP sleeper transferred to CB&Q for some reason. Though I'm not sure why that would have happened. Maybe became a Burlington MoW sleeper?

It's Q. Because a portion of the run of the NCL was on the Q, the Q was required to own a certain percentage of the cars for the NCL pool (same with Q and GN for the Empire Builder and the Q/DRGW/WP for the California Zephyr). So it is/was Q owned, but it was painted and lettered for the North Coast Limited to fit in with the rest of the equipment to make a solid looking train.

There *was* a sleeper obs that was Q owned that was transfered over to the Q after the NP stopped running obs cars on the NCL. It was painted white and looked really weird at the end of a solid train of stainless steel.
